South Korean Company Oface Explores Manufacturing Opportunities in Kazakhstan
Daulet Saktaganov, Foreign Representative of JSC "NC KAZAKH INVEST", visited the production facilities of Oface Korea, one of South Korea’s leading companies in the cosmetics industry.
During the visit, the Kazakh representative became acquainted with the production processes of a wide range of products — from creams and masks to shampoos and skincare products. The factory tour showcased the company’s high level of automation and use of innovative solutions that comply with international quality standards.
A meeting was also held with Mr. Cho Hyeong Jun, Executive Director of Oface Korea, during which the parties discussed the company’s potential entry into the Kazakhstani market and the prospects for localizing production. The KAZAKH INVEST representative provided a detailed overview of state support measures for investors, infrastructure capabilities, and incentives available for new manufacturing operations.
Following the negotiations, Mr. Cho expressed strong interest in expanding the company’s business into the Central Asian region, noting that Kazakhstan offers the necessary conditions for launching a long-term project — including economic stability, a favorable tax regime, and logistical advantages.
The parties discussed specific steps needed to open an Oface Korea manufacturing facility in Kazakhstan, including site selection, logistics, product certification, and participation in government support programs. As a result of the visit, both sides agreed to continue working together to move toward the practical phase of project implementation.
