Japanese companies presented decarbonization and environmental solutions technologies in Astana
A presentation of Japanese companies on decarbonization and environmental protection technologies was held today in Astana.
Welcoming remarks were made by Moriharu Okano, Senior Director for Cooperation and Promotion of Industrial Policy of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Aliya Abdildina, Project Manager for Cooperation with Asia at JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST, Murat Karimsakov, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan, and Sabr Yesimbekov, Co-Chair of the Kazakh-Japanese Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The event brought together representatives of government agencies, businesses, and Japanese companies to discuss prospects for cooperation in sustainable development, the introduction of green technologies, and the implementation of joint projects.
In her speech, Aliya Abdildina emphasized the importance of developing bilateral cooperation, emphasizing Kazakhstan's stable macroeconomic environment, consistent institutional policies, and sustainable investment climate.
"We have entered a new investment cycle: by 2029, we plan to attract approximately $150 billion in investment, focusing on non-resource sectors and high added value. For large projects, stable terms are provided for up to 25 years," she added.
The program included presentations by Japanese companies Aeronext Inc., SAKIGAKE JAPAN Corporation, ZEPHYR CORPORATION, SORAMITSU CBDC, and Revo International Inc., which presented solutions in drone technology, solar and wind energy, carbon credits, and bioenergy.
Participants discussed the potential for implementing these technologies in the Kazakhstani market, as well as opportunities for further expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan.
The event was organized by the Government of Tokyo jointly with the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan.
Special attention was paid to the development of direct business contacts. The program included networking and B2B meetings aimed at establishing practical cooperation between Kazakhstani and Japanese companies.
