Issues of Mining and Metallurgical Complex Development Considered by Government
A number of topical issues of activities of mining and metallurgical companies and development of the industry as a whole were discussed at the Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov.
The participants discussed plans for launching new investment projects, development of promising deposits and development of railway infrastructure for transportation of raw materials and fuel.
Besides, they touched upon the issues of setting tariffs for railroad transportation, increasing export of products, providing industrial facilities with gas and some other issues.
The meeting was attended by heads of the national companies Kazakhstan Temir Joly and QazaqGaz, as well as central government agencies.
The Prime Minister instructed the authorized agencies to expedite the elaboration of measures on problematic issues raised by representatives of business and to submit specific proposals at the next meeting.
