Association for Trade Relations with Kazakhstan Established in Slovakia
Bratislava, April 13, 2023 – The opening of the Association of Trade Relations between Slovakia and Kazakhstan, a business conference, the launch of a website for business cooperation and the signing of a Memorandum of cooperation between the Association and Kazakh Invest national company took place.
At the opening ceremony, the President of the Trade Relations Association, Doctor of Science Peter Olejar noted that the new structure is aimed to develop opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and investment, education, tourism and culture, as well as to exchange experience in the field of economic reforms.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Slovakia Tolezhan Barlybayev informed the participants of the business conference about large-scale reforms in Kazakhstan and the measures of the Government of Kazakhstan entrepreneurship policy supports, growth of foreign trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Slovakia, which is according to the Slovak statistics, has doubled in 2022 and amounted to 166.5 million US dollars. The diplomat invited the participants of the business conference to participate in the Astana International Forum to be held on June 8-9, 2023.
Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Invest, Zhandos Temirgali in an online speech presented the opportunities for investment and trade cooperation to Slovak entrepreneurs. He noted that the new Concept of the investment policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2026 is aimed to improve the investment climate. At the same time, the volume of gross inflow of foreign investments into the economy of Kazakhstan exceeded more than 400 billion US dollars.
A Memorandum of understanding was signed between the management of Kazakh Invest and the Slovak Association of Trade Relations online, designed to promote the development of business cooperation, the growth of mutual investments and to establish direct business contacts.
Within the framework of the business conference, the Slovak website of the Association - www.slovkaz.com was launched. The purpose of creating an internet resource is to regularly publish information about the possibilities of bilateral cooperation, attracting investments in priority sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan, industrial projects, the needs of the markets of the two countries, measures of state support for entrepreneurship, etc.
