Trade and economic agenda of Kazakh-French cooperation discussed at the French Foreign Ministry
Paris, April 20, 2021 - Ambassador of Kazakhstan Jean Galiev met with the Minister-Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness under the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, co-chairman of the Kazakh-French Intergovernmental Commission Franck Riester and members of his office.
Underlining the trusting nature of the strategic partnership between the two countries, the diplomats exchanged views on the current state and prospects of expanding the bilateral trade and economic agenda. So, at the end of April in Paris, it is planned to hold the 14th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
The preparation of these visits and topical issues of French companies in Kazakhstan were substantively discussed at the meeting of the Ambassador with the Director of the Cabinet of the Minister-Delegate Lucie Muniesa.
The Kazakh diplomat expressed confidence that despite the pandemic and related restrictions, trade and economic connection between the two countries will continue to expand. It is expected that following the results of mutual visits, new joint projects will be announced, including in such priority areas as agriculture, digital technologies and renewable energy sources.
