The grand opening of the expanded FLSmidth service center took place in Karaganda
A grand opening ceremony for the expanded FLSmidth service center took place in Karaganda. This expansion is part of the development of industrial and service infrastructure for the mining sector in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
The event was attended by Toni Laaksonen, CEO of FLSmidth & Co. A/S (Denmark), representatives of government agencies, JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST, as well as the company's partners and representatives of the industrial sector.
As part of the project, the company expanded the service center, increasing production and storage space, and creating modern infrastructure for the repair, restoration, and maintenance of key mining equipment, including high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGRs), crushing, pumping, and other process equipment.
The total investment amounted to approximately $15 million.
The project's implementation will strengthen local service capacity, expand the engineering competencies of Kazakhstani specialists, and enhance the level of technological support for mining companies in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
During the event, representatives of JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST emphasized the project's importance for the development of service infrastructure, the localization of technological competencies, and the further development of Kazakhstan's industrial potential. It was also noted that project support is ongoing, including consulting the company on obtaining government support and preparing an application for an investment contract.
