Kazakhstan-Egyptian business forum takes place in Astana
During the Kazakhstan-Egyptian business forum, Marat Birimzhan, Deputy CEO of Kazakh Invest, talked about the investment opportunities and support for foreign investors in Kazakhstan. He noted that Kazakh Invest is the sole authority dealing with all FDI negotiations and working on behalf of the Government of Kazakhstan. The company provides a full range of services and supports investors on their investment journey in Kazakhstan on the “one-stop shop” principle. Additionally, Kazakh Invest promotes the Special Economic Zones and the Industrial Zones that offer foreign investors a range of attractive incentives.
The Kazakhstan-Egyptian business forum is organised during an official working visit of the Egyptian business delegation headed by the Vice-Minister of Trade and Industry, Ahmed Taha Boraie. The business delegation considers the investment opportunities in Kazakhstan and is interested to meet with the representatives of Kazakhstan’s business community.
The visit programme additionally includes the meetings with the representatives of Kazakh companies, Akimat of Astana, the Ministries and respective Government organisations as well as the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”, Kazakh Invest and KIT Business Association.
Kazakhstan and Egypt established close economic and trade cooperation. In 2017, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $ 62.4 million. Kazakhstan predominantly exports petroleum products, metal products and flax seeds, among others, and imports chemical products, pharmaceuticals, clothing, and citrus fruits.
