Construction of a cement plant has begun in the Aktobe region

A ceremony marking the launch of a cement plant by QazCem Industries LLP with a capacity of 1.3 million tons per year was held in the Aktobe region.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Aktobe region Akimat and KAZAKH INVEST NC JSC as part of a collaboration between the Kazakh company Primus Capital and Sinoma Cement, a subsidiary of the Chinese corporation CNBM.

The event was attended by Askhat Shakharov, Aktobe region Akim; Guo Yu, Consul General of China in Aktobe; Zhao Xinjun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tianshan Materials; Rong Yakun, President of Sinoma Cement; government representatives, investors, and project partners.

"We are embarking on a major industrial project — a modern cement plant with a capacity of 1.3 million tons per year," noted Askhat Shakharov.

The total investment in the construction amounts to $176.9 million. By the end of this year, 75% of the project's cost — approximately $132.7 million — is planned to be implemented. Particular attention is being paid to employment. Once the plant is operational, 250–300 people will be provided with permanent jobs.

Saparbek Tuyakbayev, founder of Primus Capital, emphasized that the cement plant will not only strengthen the region's industrial potential but also enhance the professional competencies of local specialists through the implementation of modern technologies and international production standards.

Zhao Xinjun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tianshan Materials, noted that the construction of the cement plant in the Aktobe region is the company's first strategic project in Central Asia.

Rong Yakun, President of Sinoma Cement, stated that the plant will meet modern international safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Following the ceremony, the participants officially launched construction and installation work and discussed prospects for further Kazakh-Chinese industrial cooperation.
