Agreements Worth $2.5 Billion were Signed During the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan Interregional Business Forum in Tashkent
As part of the Head of State's visit to Uzbekistan on December 21, 2022, an Interregional Business Forum was held with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin.
It is worth noting the high level of interest in the event, which was attended by more than 400 representatives of state bodies and business communities from the two countries.
At the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan Interregional Business Forum, a ceremony was held to sign 40 documents worth more than $2.5 billion.
These include the following projects: the Cooperation Program to Increase Mutual Trade and Implement Joint Projects in the Agricultural Sector, signed by the Ministries of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan; the Agreement on the Supply of "Chevrolet" Automobile Machining Kits and Components to Kazakhstan; the Memorandum of Cooperation in the Implementation of an Investment Project to Construct a Multimodal Transport and Logistics Center in the Tashkent Region, signed by " РТС Holding" JSC, "Qazaqstan Halyq Jınaq Banki" JSC and "VUONO CAPITAL" LLC; the Agreement on the Launch of Ceramic Tile Production in Shymkent between the Akimat of the city and Orient Ceramic LLC; the Agreement on the Launch of "Artel" Household Appliance Production in the Karaganda Region, signed by "Silk Road Electronics" LLC and "ARTEL ELECTRONICS"; and the
As part of expanding bilateral investment cooperation and consolidating efforts to attract foreign investments, a Memorandum of Cooperation between "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC and the Agency for the Attraction of Foreign Investments of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade was signed.
It should be noted that the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan Interregional Business Forum was organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" with the support of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" and Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and JSC "CRTP "QazTrade".
