President of TechnoNICOLCorporation: Kazakhstan has always been an integral and important part of our strategic goal for us
We have been planning to invest in Kazakhstan for several years, because Kazakhstan has always been an integral and important part of our strategic goal to become an international leader. But this year we have made the final decision to invest 45.5 billion tenge in the construction of two plants for the production of heat-insulating materials from stone wool and extruded polystyrene. This was announced by Sergey Kolesnikov, President of TechnoNICOL Corporation.
“Construction remains one of the few sectors of Kazakhstan's economy showing steady growth (more than 11% over the past year). The active pace of construction stimulates the development of the market of building materials, including the consumption of various types of thermal insulation. The shortage of these products at construction sites in Kazakhstan is being compensated by an increase in imports - about 70 per cent of all mineral insulation consumed in the territory of Kazakhstan consists of imports. Russia remains the main importer today. In particular, a significant part of the supply from the Russian Federation is occupied by TechnoNICOL products. The insulation materials of the company correspond to the normative documentation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are in demand”, - stated Sergey Kolesnikov.
According to the Head of the Corporation «TechnoNICOL», the plant for mineral insulation is planned to be launched in 2023, polymer thermal insulation - in 2024, which will allow not only to satisfy domestic demand, but also to export to Western China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Their share may be as high as 25 per cent of total output.
It is noted that the new production facilities will create 220 modern high-performance jobs. Labor productivity at the company's enterprises will be 80 million tenge / person per year. At the same time, each of them will help generate an additional 4 jobs in the region in related industries such as raw materials, logistics, service and others.
The main advantages of the project, according to Sergey Kolesnikov, will be ecology, safety, and energy efficiency.
The investor also noted that in Almaty it is planned to open a modern equipped educational centre on the basis of one of the local educational institutions, which will train 1000 builders in 11 educational programs free of charge.
“What we are counting on: like any investor at the start of an investment project, we count on the stability of legislative requirements, ensuring the possibility of implementing the project in the planned time frame, clear rules of the game and readiness of the government together with the investor to solve specific cases”, - summarized by Sergey Kolesnikov.
It is worth mentioning that in September of the current year TechnoNICOL Corporation signed an agreement on cooperation with «NC «KAZAKH INVEST» JSC in the framework of XVII Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia, which took place in the online format with participation of the Heads of States of two countries.
