The President of Kazakhstan held talks with the President of China
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in Beijing at the Great Hall of the People.
At the meeting, which was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual trust, the leaders discussed a wide range of issues of a comprehensive Kazakh-Chinese strategic partnership, including in the political, trade, economic, transit, transport, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The heads of state exchanged views on the international situation.
Welcoming the Chinese leader, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the excellent organization of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev thanked Xi Jinping for his firm friendly support for his efforts to stabilize the situation in the country, as well as for his readiness to provide Kazakhstan with the necessary assistance and assistance in building the New Kazakhstan.
In addition, the Head of State praised China's success in developing the economy under the able leadership of Xi Jinping.
Speaking about the development of Kazakh-Chinese relations over the 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the President noted that both countries have built a solid foundation for a truly strategic partnership in all areas through joint efforts. In his opinion, this cooperation is eternal, comprehensive and not subject to political conjuncture.
The leader of Kazakhstan said that today's talks provide a good opportunity to declare a joint focus on moving to a qualitatively new stage in the history of bilateral relations.
Emphasizing the readiness for close cooperation to achieve new successes in deepening Kazakh-Chinese relations of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual respect, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Xi Jinping to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan in September this year.
As Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is convinced, the visit of the President of the People's Republic of China will give a serious impetus to the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Particular emphasis during the talks was placed on joint efforts to build up trade and economic ties. The President noted that despite the pandemic, bilateral trade grew by 15.2% in 2021, amounting to $18.2 billion. Our country accounts for half of the total trade between China and the five countries of Central Asia.
Along with this, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called the priority task for the further implementation of the Belt and Road initiative. The head of state confirmed the interest of our country in cooperation in the areas of digital technologies, transport and logistics.
During the talks, the prospects for strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism and cultural and humanitarian ties were also touched upon, including the issue of opening a Chinese cultural center in Kazakhstan.
The President of the People's Republic of China thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for supporting the "one China" principle, expressing his will to further develop a comprehensive strategic partnership.
Xi Jinping stressed that this meeting opens a new golden 30th anniversary of relations between Kazakhstan and China.
The President of China noted the successful cooperation on the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative over the 9-year period. He also focused on the prospects for cooperation in agriculture, green energy, artificial intelligence, finance and e-commerce.
The Chinese leader expressed the opinion that under the wise and strong leadership of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakhstan will build a powerful and prosperous state. He highly appreciated the activities of the CICA and its initiatives to ensure regional security.
In conclusion, Xi Jinping accepted the President's invitation to visit Kazakhstan, announcing his plans to make a state visit to our country this autumn.
He also expressed readiness to maintain regular contacts with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
