Сhairman of KAZAKH INVEST Held a Meeting with Representatives of the Business Community of Shymkent
During the meeting, the Head of the National Company discussed with the business the issues of ongoing support for investment projects and solving problematic issues of investors implementing their projects in Shymkent.
The event was also attended by Deputy Akim of the city of Shymkent Aibek Sattybayev, specialists from the industrial zone «Ordabasy», special economic zone «Ontustik», the social-entrepreneurial corporation «Shymkent», the Association of Kazakh-Turkish Entrepreneurs «KATKA» as well as the management of the companies «KazAlPack», «Dentafill Kazakhstan», «EcoPharm International», «BAIKRA», «Kastro Kablo», «Lux Shoes», «Bal Textile», «MEB Co. Ltd» and others.
Meirzhan Yussupov stressed that in addition to attracting new investors, KAZAKH INVEST is actively working to encourage reinvestment in new projects by responding to business requests on time.

According to the Deputy Akim of Shymkent Aibek Sattybaev, today the city has created all the necessary conditions for the successful implementation of investment projects. An effective system of regional development institutions has also been built, the main task of which is not only to attract investment but also to create favorable conditions for investors. Each investment project is under the close attention of the akimat.
During the online meeting, investors raised issues of accelerating the registration of medicines for local manufacturers, concluding investment contracts, providing state support measures for investment activities, as well as solving visa and migration issues. Topics such as increases in the excise tax on sugar-containing drinks and the mechanism for their voluntary labeling, as well as issues of infrastructure development, were also touched upon.
The management of «NC «KAZAKH INVEST» JSC proposed possible ways to resolve these issues with the assistance of government agencies. Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation in resolving current issues.
