The world leader in the railway industry is committed to long-term cooperation with Kazakhstan

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to France Jean Galiyev met with Senior Vice President of Alstom Group Philippe Dellerand Governor of AfricaMiddle East and Central Asia Andrew DeLeon.

During the negotiation, representatives of the world leader in the railway industry emphasized that the plant for the production of electric locomotives operating in Nur-Sultan occupies an important place in the global strategy of the group. According to
E. Deleon, the uniqueness of this facility lies in the fact that over the years of cooperation, in addition to large investments, technology transfer was carried out, part of production was localized, as well as training and education of local personnel was carried out. In general, the plant provides over 500 jobs.

The ambassador informed the interlocutors that "green" technologies are among the priority areas of our strategic partnership with France and stressed the prospects for the development of environmentally friendly transport, including the use of hydrogen-fueled trains, which have recently been commissioned in France. The autonomy of such trains can exceed 1000 km, which is important for such long sections of roads as in Kazakhstan.

Jean Galiyev also suggested Alstom to consider the idea of participating in the project of a cruise train for tourists in Kazakhstan. At the end of the meeting, Philippe Deller noted Alstom's readiness for long-term cooperation with our country.
