A major Qatari holding company will build a medical hub in Astana
As part of the Astana International Forum, the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan has signed a Framework Agreement on the key principles of implementing a project to construct a medical hub in the city of Astana with the major Qatari holding company Power International Holding. The project will be implemented with the support of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST".
The multifunctional medical hub in Astana will have a capacity of 300 beds and will include a polyclinic, diagnostic, and rehabilitation blocks. The project's cost will amount to $300 million.
Power International Holding, the second-largest private family conglomerate in Qatar, is a leading management holding company operating in various industries, including real estate, energy, telecommunications, finance, healthcare, and education.
The holding company possesses significant capital and assets beyond Qatar. The company has experience in the construction and operation of medical facilities, including the 250-bed medical center "The View" in Doha, which covers an area of 100,000 square meters.
Moutaz Al Khayyat, Chairman of the Qatari group of companies, emphasized that the collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan opens up new opportunities for the holding company in Central Asia.
Dinara Isabekova, Head of Projects at the Investment Task Force Division of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST", noted that the national company had been negotiating with Power International Holding for over two years. The project will be one of the largest in the healthcare sector and will contribute to improving the quality and accessibility of medical services for the country's population.
It is worth noting that the implementation of the project confirms the aspirations of both countries to strengthen economic and trade ties and will contribute to the development of high-tech medical infrastructure.
