The Chinese delegation arrived in Astana within the framework of the 19th Exhibition of Chinese Goods
Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “NC “KAZAKH INVEST” Yerzhan Yelekeyev met with a delegation of the government of Shandong Province, consisting of the heads of several Chinese companies, who arrived in the country as part of the 19th Exhibition of Chinese Goods in Kazakhstan. The delegation was headed by Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Wang Suilian. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of deepening bilateral cooperation. Y. Yelekeyev told the Chinese representatives about the investment climate of the Republic of Kazakhstan and government support measures.
Thus, the delegation included representatives of such organizations as the State Investment Holding Corporation of Shandong Province, the cosmetic company "Qingdao Youdu Marine Biotechnology Group Co., Ltd", the transport company "Guohetong Supply Chain Co., Ltd", the medical company "Shandong Shenlian Biotechnology Co., Ltd", the technology company "Qingdao Beike Jinghui Innovation Technology Co., Ltd", cotton enterprise "Shandong High Cotton Intelligent Fiber Dyeing Technology", asparagus supplier "Caoxian Huadong Asparagus Technology Service Co., Ltd", engine manufacturer "Yantai Baite Motor Co., Ltd", frozen food manufacturer "Shandong Aomeng Food Technology Co., Ltd" and "Shandong Jiangzheng Food Co., Ltd", vermicelli manufacturer "Longkou Zhenxing Grain and Oil Food Co., Ltd", research company "Shandong Red Three Leaf Steel Structure Engineering Co., Ltd", the manufacturer of power plants "Shandong Heavy Truck International Trade Co., Ltd" and the technological enterprise "Shandong Yuehua Internet Technology Co., Ltd".
Shandong Province ranks third in terms of GDP in China and is comparable to the GDP of South Korea. The primary industries of the province are mining, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, chemical and petrochemical industries, and the food industry. Shandong is home to 26% of the country's refining capacity; in Shandong, all the oil Saudi Aramco supplies go to China. The Chinese side said Shandong Province is a leader in agricultural automation and scientific developments. In turn, Y. Yelekeyev said that Kazakhstan needs high-tech projects in the manufacturing industry of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan. The parties agreed to cooperate to transfer technologies between Kazakhstan and Shandong province enterprises. Following the meeting, representatives of Chinese businesses expressed interest in implementing joint investment projects.
The Chairman of the Board of the national company also invited members of the delegation to the Kazakhstan Round Table on Global Investments, which will be held in November this year, and to events within the framework of the China-Central Asia Summit in 2025.
The 19th Exhibition of Chinese Goods in Kazakhstan was held with the participation of representatives of the public and private sectors of the two countries, including the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the leadership of the People's Government of the XUAR, etc.
