Kazakhstan Strengthens Cooperation with the Chinese Province of Gansu

A conference on trade and investment promotion between China (Gansu province) and Kazakhstan was held in Astana. The event, organized by the Committee for the Promotion of International Trade (CPIT), gathered over 130 business representatives from both countries.

The conference provided a platform for presenting projects and investment opportunities from both sides. During the event, bilateral negotiations took place aimed at developing trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Kazakhstan is one of the largest trading partners of Gansu province. In 2022, the trade volume between the two sides exceeded $180 million, which is a 44.9% increase compared to 2021 and accounted for 23% of the total foreign trade volume of Gansu province.

In his speech, Zhandos Temirgali, Deputy Chairman of the Board of "NC "KAZAKH INVEST," emphasized that Kazakhstan and China are actively developing comprehensive strategic partnership, strengthening good neighborly and interregional relations. He invited Chinese companies to implement projects in the agro-industrial and mining sectors of the Kazakh economy, as well as in the fields of mechanical engineering, transportation, and logistics.

Additionally, meetings were held with representatives of Chinese companies from Gansu province at the KAZAKH INVEST office for more detailed discussions on prospective projects. Delegations were presented with investment opportunities in Kazakhstan, measures of state support for investors, and prospective areas for strengthening cooperation.
