Kazakhstan is Strengthening Cooperation with Central Asian Countries
With the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, a Kazakh delegation visited the International Industrial Exhibition "Innoprom. Central Asia" in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The delegation was represented by Marat Karabayev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ruslan Ibraimov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KAZAKH INVEST, the leadership and representatives of the akimats of 14 regions, the cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent, as well as the Kazakh business community.
Marat Karabayev, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was the invited speaker from the Republic of Kazakhstan at the main plenary session of the investment event "International Industrial Projects in Central Asia: Competitive Advantages Against New Challenges".
Ruslan Ibraimov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KAZAKH INVEST, participated in bilateral meetings with the heads of large Uzbek companies represented in various sectors of the economy, such as chemical, food, construction, mechanical engineering, light industry and other priority sectors for Kazakhstan.
The interest of the Uzbek business community in participating in bilateral meetings with the Kazakh delegation demonstrates their interest in creating joint Kazakhstani-Uzbek enterprises, new business contacts, and industrial development opportunities.
Currently, there are more than 1,400 enterprises with Uzbek capital and more than 400 joint Kazakh-Uzbek companies operating successfully in Kazakhstan.
As of 2022, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan reached $5 billion, which is 29.8% higher than the previous year ($3.8 billion).
