Kazakhstan Showcases Investment Potential at International Halal Exhibition in Malaysia
A Kazakh trade delegation led by Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliev took part in the international halal industry exhibition Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS). This is the largest platform in Southeast Asia that brings together leading producers and buyers of halal products from around the world.
Kazakhstan’s national pavilion became one of the largest and most prominent at the exhibition, where 20 domestic exporting companies presented a wide range of products — from food and agro-industrial goods to processed products and halal services.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the “Kazakhstan Networking Session” business forum was held, during which Kazakhstani participants delivered presentations on the country’s trade and investment potential. The final element of the forum was a B2B session, which allowed domestic exporters to hold direct negotiations with leading Malaysian companies.
The forum was opened by A. Shakkaliev and Chairman of MATRADE Rizal Merican Naina Merican, who called on Kazakhstan and Malaysia to deepen trade and investment cooperation and implement joint projects in key sectors.
At the event, Diana Ablyakimova, overseas representative of JSC “NC KAZAKH INVEST,” spoke about Kazakhstan’s investment potential:
“Kazakhstan is open to strategic partnership with Malaysia in the field of investments. We strive to create joint projects that will contribute to the diversification of both economies, the development of high-tech industries, and the strengthening of long-term business ties between our business communities.”
Kazakhstan’s participation in MIHAS-2025 became an important step in strengthening its position in the Southeast Asian market. It contributed to raising awareness of domestic products, expanding business contacts, and creating a solid foundation for further growth of exports and attraction of investments.
