Kazakhstan and Pakistan Held Their First Meeting of the Business Council
The first meeting of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Business Council took place in Astana at the venue of "National Company "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC. The council was organized to expand contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries, exchange experiences, and develop export opportunities of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by representatives of the government bodies and business communities of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan, Ayan Erenov, noted that Pakistan is an important partner of Kazakhstan in South Asia. He stated that the business community of Kazakhstan is ready to join efforts with Pakistani companies to expand economic relations.

Chairman of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mehmood Ul Hasan Awan, spoke about the importance of developing trade and economic relations, calling on the business communities of both countries to actively interact.

Representatives of the business community of Pakistan expressed a deep interest in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with Kazakhstan, noting the potential for expanding trade, investments, and joint projects in various sectors of the economy.

In turn, the Director of the Investment Attraction and Marketing Department of KAZAKH INVEST, Nurzhan Abilkhaiyr, spoke about the company's activities, preferences provided by the Government of Kazakhstan, and prospective directions for expanding cooperation between the countries.

These include China and CIS countries, which can be reached through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, northern and southern corridors, and other transportation routes. The event also featured speeches by the Director of the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Council, Haidar Nausherwan, the Consul General of Pakistan in Kazakhstan, Rao Khalid M Khan, the Director of the International Market Analysis Department of QazTrade JSC, Ozhiet Shegirbayev, and others.
During the meeting, prospective areas of cooperation were identified in sectors such as energy, oil and gas industry, agriculture, transportation, logistics, and others.
