Kazakhstan and China Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
From July 6 to 8, 2023, a working visit of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Marat Karabayev, to Beijing, China took place. The delegation, composed of representatives of government bodies and the business community, aimed to deepen strategic partnership and attract investments in various industrial sectors.

During the visit to Beijing, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in China, and "NC KAZAKH INVEST" JSC jointly organized the Conference on "Investment Opportunities in the Republic of Kazakhstan". More than 500 people participated in the event.
Within the framework of the event, presentations were made on investment opportunities in key sectors of the Kazakh economy. Conference participants discussed prospects for cooperation, exchanged experiences and information on the possibilities of implementing joint investment projects.
Speaking at the conference, Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan, Marat Karabayev, presented investment opportunities in the industrial sectors supervised by the government.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Board of "NC KAZAKH INVEST," Ruslan Ibraimov, spoke about the investment opportunities in Kazakhstan, government measures to support investors, and invited Chinese businesses to implement projects in Kazakhstan.
"Last year, we reached a record level in bilateral trade, exceeding the $31 billion mark. China occupies a special place among the largest investors in the Kazakh economy, with a total investment volume of over $23 billion. Currently, we are supporting 52 joint Kazakhstani-Chinese projects with a total value of $21.1 billion in the field of industrialization and investments," noted the Deputy Chairman of the Board of KAZAKH INVEST.

As part of the visit, a round table was also organized for a more detailed discussion of cooperation opportunities between the two countries in the mining and metallurgical sector.
Minister Marat Karabayev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of KAZAKH INVEST Ruslan Ibraimov, and other high-ranking delegation members held over 30 meetings and negotiations with representatives of Chinese companies and government authorities. Agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed, aimed at strengthening cooperation and developing investment projects in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The visit was an important step in strengthening bilateral relations, attracting foreign investment to Kazakhstan, and further developing economic cooperation between the two countries.
