Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic are Advancing Cooperation in the Agro-Industrial Sector
In Astana, a Kazakh-Czech business forum was held with the aim of deepening bilateral cooperation, with the participation of Marek Vyborny, Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic. The event, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan and the National Company "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC, was attended by representatives of government agencies and private businesses from both countries, including 40 Czech companies operating in the fields of agriculture, machinery, finance, and metalworking.


The event was opened with welcome speeches by Marek Vyborny, Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, and Yerbol Taszhurekov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. The speakers highlighted the significant potential for expanding relations, emphasizing the strong interest of both sides in implementing joint investment projects in Kazakhstan.

During the plenary session, presenting the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan, Zhandos Temirgali, Acting Chairman of the Board of the National Company "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC, noted that the portfolio of Kazakh-Czech investment projects consists of 7 projects totaling over $135 million in the sectors of machinery, agriculture, defense industry, and logistics. In conclusion, he invited Czech companies to implement projects in Kazakhstan, underscoring the readiness of the national company to provide comprehensive support to Czech investors.

The forum also featured presentations by Renat Bekturov, AIFC Governor, Nurbolat Aidapkelov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of "NC "Baiterek", František Chaloupek, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Czech Republic, and Robert Malek, Director of "Zimatechnik". The event was moderated by Saule Sabyr, Project Manager at KAZAKH INVEST, who invited participants to take part in the Kazakh-Czech forum scheduled for the end of November this year in Prague.


The event concluded with bilateral B2B meetings for a more in-depth discussion of opportunities for joint investment projects. Czech companies expressed interest in projects related to livestock breeding, crop farming, fertilizer production, agricultural equipment, and the food industry.
