Kazakhstan and Brazil: Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Today, a Kazakh-Brazilian roundtable discussion was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, featuring Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil Mauro Iecker Vieira.
The event included a discussion session, where Kazakhstani speakers included Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amangaliy Berdalin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST Aibol Argyngazinov, Chairperson of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saltanat Tompiyeva, Deputy Chairperson of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas Diana Arysova, Managing Director of WEG Central Asia Sergey Mushchenko, and Managing Director for Export Development of JSC Trade Policy Development Center QazTrade Ainur Amirbekova.
The Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST stated that Kazakhstan offers one of the most competitive investment support systems in the region and guarantees comprehensive investor protection.
"Today's discussions confirmed that our bilateral partnership is built on a solid foundation – shared values, mutual respect, and economic complementarity," emphasized Aibol Argyngazinov.
From the Brazilian side, speakers included Luc Vian, Agricultural Markets Analyst at the Brazilian Meat Exporters Association (ABIEC); Marcelo Osório, Director of Institutional Relations at the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA); João Pedro Taborda, Vice President of Government Relations for Europe and Central Asia at Embraer; Sténio Galvão, Executive Manager of Onshore and Shallow Water Projects at Petrobras; and Marcos Valério Galvão, Senior Exploration Geologist at Petrobras.
Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Iecker Vieira delivered closing remarks.
"Kazakhstan views Brazil as a key and reliable partner in Latin America. Today's talks confirmed our mutual interest in further deepening cooperation and implementing new joint initiatives," noted Yermek Kosherbayev.
Particular attention was paid to trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Prospects for joint projects in priority areas such as high-tech agriculture, water resource management, and digital technologies were discussed.
Following the event, memoranda of understanding were signed between the ministries of agriculture of the two countries in the area of livestock farming, as well as between JSC NC KAZAKH INVEST and the ApexBrasil Export Development Agency.
