KAZAKH INVEST Strengthens Cooperation with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency
At the site of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST," a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of the national company, Yerzhan Yelekeyev, and the Regional Director for the CIS of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Kim Seonsu. The meeting focused on discussing the expansion of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea.
Since its establishment in 1962, KOTRA has been actively promoting mutual cooperation between the Republic of Korea and its trade partners, facilitating international commerce and investments.

During the meeting, Yerzhan Yelekeyev emphasized the importance of deepening economic ties in the context of the changing global economic landscape and the developing industrial ecosystem. He expressed a strong intention to actively adopt KOTRA's experience in attracting investments.
"Our country is interested in expanding relations with Korean investors in areas such as deep processing of rare and rare-earth metals, mechanical engineering, the agro-industrial complex, and the processing of agricultural products. Annually, we harvest about 15-17 million tons of grain, of which 5-7 million tons are exported to various countries. Instead of simple exports, we strive to produce high value-added products," noted the Head of the national company.
As part of South Korean President Yoon Suk-Yeol's visit to Kazakhstan, the signing of a memorandum of cooperation in the field of investments between KAZAKH INVEST and KOTRA is planned. The document will be aimed at sharing experiences and collaborating on trade and investment projects between South Korea and Kazakhstan.
