An investment seminar was held for Kazakh diplomats in Moscow

NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC together with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation, an investment seminar was organized for employees of the Embassy, Trade Mission, and honorary consuls of Kazakhstan in Russia. The event was held to strengthen the interaction of central and local government bodies, foreign institutions of the republic, and subjects of the quasi-public sector on attracting investments, as well as providing comprehensive support for investors at all levels.

During the seminar, topical issues of implementing projects with the participation of Russian capital in Kazakhstan, as well as legislative innovations aimed at improving the business environment and expanding investment incentives were discussed.

"In turn, in the feedback format, Kazakh Invest specialists and sectoral government agencies should receive information on the difficulties faced by foreign companies from foreign companies when working out their projects in Kazakhstan. Operational response to such requests can significantly increase the efficiency of collaboration on attracting foreign capital and technologies" said Yermek Kosherbaev.

Opening the seminar, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Yermek Kosherbayev noted that foreign missions need to know in which industry and in what volume investments are needed. In addition, according to him, diplomats need to have up-to-date information on investment conditions, measures of state support, and stimulation of foreign business.

In turn, in his opening speech, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC Galym Uzbekov noted that within the framework of the three-tier system, together with central state and local executive bodies, promising commodity positions and niches were identified to attract foreign investors. According to him, the data include such key indicators as export-import, production volume in Kazakhstan, availability of a raw material base, provision of infrastructure, and others.

“Thus, an “investment order” has been formed for commodity items and niche projects. Based on the submitted data, NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC is regularly working on the preparation of investment proposals to provide foreign institutions with the necessary information and targeting potential investors" said Galym Uzbekov.

Furthermore, a meeting was organized between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Ermek Kosherbayev and Alexander Rudakov, the head of the agro-industrial holding "Eco-culture", one of the largest Russian producers of greenhouse vegetables. During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the company's projects for the construction of greenhouse complexes in the Turkestan and Almaty regions.

Moreover, negotiations were held with the General Director of the ROST Company, Sergey Rukin, during which the Russian businessman shared his plans to expand the activities of the agricultural holding in Kazakhstan, including the construction of industrial greenhouses in Turkestan, Almaty, West Kazakhstan, and other regions.

Within the framework of the visit, NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC eld negotiations with the" Brookes Education Group "company on the promotion of educational projects within the framework of public-private partnership in Nur-Sultan.

Furthermore, following a working meeting with the Hungarian Investment Development Agency "HIPA", agreements were reached on holding several presentation meetings to explain the possibilities of implementing investment projects with the participation of Hungarian agricultural companies.

It should be noted that today in the monitoring system of NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC with the participation of investors from Russia there are 22 investment projects worth $ 4.5 billion with the creation of about 23 thousand jobs.
