Minsk hosted the conference “EAEU. Investments Without Borders,” organized with the participation of investment agencies of the Eurasian Economic Union member states. From Kazakhstan, the event was attended by Acting Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “NC KAZAKH INVEST” Aibol Argyngazinov.
Speaking at a panel session, the Acting Chairman of the national company presented Kazakhstan’s experience in attracting investments and spoke about key instruments for project support, including the “one-stop shop” system, the work of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and the Committee for the Protection of Investors’ Rights.
Aibol Argyngazinov noted that Kazakhstan consistently maintains its position as a leader in Central Asia in terms of attracted investments, and that today the main task is to move from a resource-based model to the creation of high value-added and export-oriented production.
“Our goal is not only to increase the volume of investments, but also to create conditions for the development of new industries, deep processing, and the introduction of technologies. We are open to joint initiatives with our EAEU partners and are confident that pooling efforts will enhance the global competitiveness of the entire Union,” he stated.
During the conference, heads of investment agencies from Belarus, Russia, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan also delivered presentations, sharing their national practices in attracting investors and creating a favorable business climate.
The final stage of the event was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between investment institutions of the EAEU member states, aimed at developing coordination, exchanging information, and jointly promoting the region as a single investment destination.
