KAZAKH INVEST at the Kazakhstan-Netherlands Business Council Meeting
On October 9 this year, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" Madiyar Sultanbek spoke at a meeting of the Netherlands-Kazakhstan Business Council in Astana, organized with the support of the Government of the Netherlands, the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce, the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan and the Netherlands-Kazakhstan Business Association.
Speaking at a panel session on trade and transit opportunities in Kazakhstan, M. Sultanbek stressed the importance of investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.
"The Netherlands plays a crucial role in our economic development, being the largest investor in Kazakhstan. Over the years of our independence, the Netherlands has invested about $67.8 billion in the economy of Kazakhstan. We are confident that we will achieve greater growth and success through joint efforts. Currently, more than 50 international organizations have regional offices in Kazakhstan, further strengthening our position as a global business center. More than 49,000 enterprises with foreign capital are already operating in the country, which allows new Dutch companies to take advantage of the developing ecosystem of international business," said the Deputy Chairman of the Board.
During his speech, M. Sultanbek also presented information to the participants about Kazakhstan's investment climate and sustainable economic growth. Thus, over the past 30 years, the country has attracted over $431 billion in FDI. Investors in Kazakhstan are satisfied with a high degree of protection, as evidenced by representatives of Dutch businesses who participated in the event.
The meeting of the Business Council was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NCE RK "Atameken", the International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route", the World Bank, the Netherlands Entrepreneurship Agency, Witteveen+Bos Caspian LLP and others. At the end of the meeting, the signing ceremony of the Regulations on the Business Council was held. The event was an important step towards strengthening bilateral relations and creating new business opportunities between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.
