KAZAKH INVEST and Sialkot Chamber of Commerce Discuss Expansion of Investment Cooperation
In Astana, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “NC “KAZAKH INVEST” JSC Azamat Kozhanov met with Wasim Shahbaz Lodhi, Senior Vice President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The meeting was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral investment cooperation and identifying concrete formats for collaboration between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
Representatives of SCCI presented the capabilities of the Sialkot business cluster — the only export-oriented city in Pakistan, with annual exports exceeding USD 2 billion. Key industries include the production of sporting goods, surgical instruments, leather products, textiles, and uniforms. SCCI unites over 16,000 active members and plays a leading role in developing urban and manufacturing infrastructure.
During the meeting, the Pakistani company BolaGema Pakistan presented an investment proposal to launch a specialized production facility in Kazakhstan, focused on elements of decorative applied arts and sports manufacturing. Notably, BolaGema Pakistan is a licensed producer of footballs for FIFA, underscoring the company’s high manufacturing standards. Its product line includes traditionally hand-forged balls popular in European and Middle Eastern markets. The project is expected to be implemented in partnership with Kazakh manufacturing facilities and applied arts educational centers.
“We see great potential in developing cooperation with Pakistan, especially with a dynamic export center like Sialkot. The BolaGema Pakistan project is a vivid example of how Kazakhstan’s manufacturing and educational resources can be leveraged to implement international projects, create new jobs, and strengthen economic ties,” said Azamat Kozhanov.
Both sides agreed to continue identifying promising investment areas and to facilitate direct connections between Kazakh and Pakistani companies.
