Investment Opportunities of Kazakhstan Were Presented in Canada
As part of a working visit to Toronto (Canada), the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Canada Akylbek Kamaldinov and the representative of NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC in the Americas Galymzhan Matayev took part in the round table organized by the Canadian-Eurasian Chamber of Commerce. Representatives of more than 30 companies attended the event from various sectors of the Canadian economy.
In his speech, Akylbek Kamaldinov spoke about the implementation of political and economic reforms in Kazakhstan and the measures taken to further improve the business environment in the country, and offered Canadian businessmen to invest in Kazakhstan.
In turn, Galymzhan Mataev made a presentation on the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan, spoke about the preferences provided by Kazakhstan to international investors, focusing on the existing potential for the development of promising areas of economic cooperation in such sectors as the agro-industrial complex, mining, IT, RES, rare earth metallurgy, transport and logistics and pharmaceutical industries.
Along with this, the Kazakh delegates held bilateral negotiations with the leadership of high-tech Canadian companies Avalon Advanced Metals (lithium batteries), Athletica Sport Systems (manufacture of sports equipment and equipment), Hatch (engineering services) and NDT Technologies (automated control systems and equipment manufacturing).
Following the negotiations, the Kazakh side invited Canadian companies to take part in the work of the "5th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Canada Business Council", which will be held in the third decade of November 2022 in person in Astana.
At the end of the visit, there was a meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the province of Ontario, Rocco Rossi, which has more than 60 thousand member companies, as well as a meeting with the management and a visit to the production site of Li-Metal (lithium products).
