Kazakhstan's investment potential is represented in the SCO Secretariat
Kazakhstan's investment opportunities in priority sectors of the economy were presented at the site of the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The event was organized by the SCO Secretariat together with the China Overseas Development Association.
The event was attended by SCO Secretary General Vladimir Norov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the People's Republic of China Gabit Koishibayev, Ambassador of Tajikistan to the People's Republic of China Zohir Saidzoda, diplomatic corps and representatives of trade and economic structures of the SCO countries in Beijing, as well as heads and representatives of about 70 Chinese enterprises.

"Today, the Central Asian countries have a great investment potential for mutually beneficial cooperation in the SCO space. The investment attractiveness in Central Asia is represented by a liberal investment regime. The most-favored-nation regime is applied to foreign investors with an emphasis on the protection and support of a bona fide foreign entrepreneur and investor, the creation of favorable conditions for their activities", - said the SCO Secretary General Vladimir Norov.
In turn, during the event, the General Representative of KAZAKH INVEST in China Kuanysh Amantai made a presentation of the investment climate of Kazakhstan. In his speech, the speaker noted the growing interest of foreign business in the implementation of investment projects in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and expressed readiness to establish active bilateral cooperation within the SCO.
"The SCO has a great potential for investment cooperation. From an economic point of view, the organization unites almost half of the world's population, the GDP of the SCO countries is about 20% of world GDP, according to experts, this indicator will increase significantly in 2030. At the same time, the structure of the economies of the Central Asian countries and the largest SCO countries - China, Russia and India - have a complementary potential for interaction, including in the field of investment cooperation", - said Kuanysh Amantai.

At the same time, within the framework of the event with the participation of the heads of diplomatic missions, Chinese business structures and representatives of Central Asian countries discussed the possibilities of cooperation in detail. During the "B2B" meetings, the Representative Office of KAZAKH INVEST presented priority areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as future joint investment projects and opportunities for their implementation.
