Hungarian Company Considers Localizing Honey Production in Kazakhstan
A delegation of the Hungarian company Aranynektár Kft, headed by its founder and CEO Ferenc Fulmer, visited Kazakhstan on a working trip. Ulbosyn Sarybayeva, the foreign representative of JSC “NC KAZAKH INVEST” in Hungary, together with the company’s representatives, held a series of meetings with Kazakh partners and organizations.
During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the potential of Kazakhstan’s beekeeping industry, established business contacts with local honey producers, and discussed opportunities for localizing production capacities in the country. Representatives of Aranynektár Kft, together with Kazakh partners, visited regions of the country to learn about the activities of local honey producers.
Special attention was paid to the ecological features of Kazakhstan, as its pristine natural areas, absence of chemicals, and wild nectar sources make Kazakh honey natural and high-quality, creating opportunities for export and for localizing processing with a focus on international markets.
During the official part of the visit, negotiations were held with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republican Beekeepers’ Chamber, the national company QazTrade, and relevant regional authorities. The meetings focused on government support measures in the beekeeping sector, tools for promoting export products, and prospects for implementing joint investment initiatives.
“Kazakhstan has favorable natural conditions and significant potential in the beekeeping sector. The approval of the veterinary certificate for honey exports to the European Union, which took place in early 2025, opens up new opportunities for bringing domestic products to international markets. Cooperation with international partners such as Aranynektár Kft is viewed by us as an effective tool for introducing advanced technologies, enhancing the competitiveness of Kazakh honey, and attracting direct foreign investment in processing and export logistics,” emphasized Ulbosyn Sarybayeva.
Aranynektár Kft is considering the establishment of a joint honey production facility in Kazakhstan, and in the near future, further development of this investment project is expected with the involvement of relevant government bodies and industry partners.
For reference:
Aranynektár Kft is the largest honey producer and exporter in Hungary. The company’s production capacity reaches up to 4,000 tons of honey per year, approximately 80% of which is exported to the European Union, the Middle East, and Asia.
