The President receives Nguyen Thanh Hung, Chairman of the Board of SOVICO Group

On the sidelines of his official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, President Tokayev met with Nguyen Thanh Hung, Chairman of the Board of SOVICO Group.
The parties discussed promising areas for cooperation in the energy and logistics industries.
Remarking on the company's vast experience in various sectors of the economy, the Head of State underlined our country`s interest in the implementation of large joint investment projects.
In turn, Nguyen Thanh Hung revealed the company's intention to set up a trade and logistics hub on the territory of Kazakhstan. In addition, VietJet Air, a low-cost airline affiliated with the SOVICO Group, plans to expand the number of flights to Kazakhstan.
The President welcomed the company's intention and assured that the Government of Kazakhstan is ready to assist in the implementation of investment projects.
SOVICO Group is one of the largest diversified conglomerates in Vietnam, specializing in the energy, construction, banking and finance, and aviation sectors. In 2022, the company's total revenue amounted to $20.6 billion.
