Investment Opportunities of Kazakhstan Were Presented to German Companies
The leaders of the German business community have arrived in Astana to explore the market of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consider the possibility of implementing investment projects. The delegation included representatives of companies working in various sectors of the economy (agriculture, engineering, logistics, consulting, etc.), including Continental, Lufthansa, Schenker, DB Cargo, Konsugroup, and others. During the visit, the delegation, together with the regional director for European countries of "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC Daulet Saktaganov, took part in a briefing on the topic of "Key vectors of development and legal conditions for doing business in Kazakhstan."
Germany is one of Kazakhstan's most important partners in the EU, and the countries have a number of intergovernmental agreements aimed at deepening trade and economic cooperation, encouraging and protecting investments.
Opening the event, the Head of the German Economic Representation in Central Asia and Chairman of the German Economic Union in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Hovsep Voskanyan, noted the positive dynamics of trade and economic relations between the countries.
In turn, a representative of "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC talked about the company's activities, the preferences provided by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and invited German companies to implement projects in Kazakhstan. According to him, the list of Kazakh-German investment projects currently consists of 51 projects worth more than $4 billion.
In addition, the briefing was attended by a member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of the Board of the Kazakh-German Business Council for Strategic Cooperation, Yevgeny Bolgert, the Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Foreign Trade of Kazakhstan, Ayan Erenov, and the Executive Director of the «Arbitration Center of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Atameken» Askar Kaldybayev.
As part of the visit, the delegation will also hold meetings with representatives of the public and private sectors.
