EuroChem Implements Project in Kazakhstan

A meeting took place in Astana between Gabidulla Ospankulov, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Arshat Kondybayev, Acting General Director of EuroChem-Karatau LLP. The parties discussed the terms of the investment contract for the construction and operation of a plant for the production of mineral fertilizers and industrial products. The plant will be located in the Zhambyl region and will create over 1,200 jobs. The project cost is estimated at $1 billion.

In the first phase, the company commissioned a mining and processing plant for the production of phosphorite concentrate. Currently, the investor is working on the construction of a plant for the production of mineral fertilizers and industrial products (Phase II), with the launch planned for 2026.

Arshat Kondybayev provided an update on the current status of the project. He emphasized that the project is strategically important for the region, as it will not only create a significant number of jobs but also attract new technologies and investments to the economy of Kazakhstan. Additionally, he highlighted that EuroChem is actively working on the environmental aspects of the project, implementing modern technologies to minimize environmental impact.

At the end of the meeting, Gabidulla Ospankulov expressed confidence that this project will make a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan's industrial potential.
