Czech Companies are Interested in Implementing Projects in Kazakhstan
As part of the Kazakhstan-Czech Business Forum in Prague, Nazira Nurbayeva, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with representatives of several Czech companies to discuss bilateral cooperation and opportunities for implementing investment projects.
During negotiations with the leadership of Ferrit, SIGMA Pumpy, OMNIPOL, Skoda Transportation, and Primoco UAV SE, the Kazakh side discussed the country's investment climate and the advantages of operating in the Kazakh market.
With the shareholder of Ferrit, Petr Mohelník, potential collaboration in the fields of mining metallurgy and engineering industry was discussed. Ferrit is a global leader in comprehensive solutions and the production of mining equipment and optimization of transportation systems.

In the meeting with Director Martin Ptacek of SIGMA Pumpy, cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering and pump equipment manufacturing was discussed. Ms. Nurbayeva informed Mr. Ptacek about the potential for the development of the oil and gas engineering industry and emphasized the priority of import substitution in Kazakhstan, including the production of pumps within the country. SIGMA Pumpy is a major manufacturer of pump equipment in the Czech Republic, meeting the needs of markets in Europe, the CIS countries, Asia, and the Middle East.

The Deputy Minister also met with Vice President of OMNIPOL, Artem Movsesyan. The Czech company, with almost 90 years of experience in aviation, was invited to participate in major projects in Kazakhstan. Currently, OMNIPOL is working on establishing a service and training center in Astana. The parties also discussed cooperation in the food industry, including the Czech company's plans to modernize a malting plant in Tekeli.
Additionally, meetings were held with representatives of Skoda Transportation and Primoco UAV SE. Skoda Transportation is one of the world's largest producers of trams and power units for trolleybuses, as well as a significant regional manufacturer of railway rolling stock. Discussions with the company included plans for the production of trolleybuses and tram cars in Kazakhstan.

On the sidelines of the forum, an agreement was reached with representatives of the CzechInvest state agency to exchange experiences, knowledge, and best practices in the field of investment attraction. Currently, the agency's portfolio includes 1,916 approved projects, creating 293.2 thousand jobs.
