Chairman of the Investment Committee Met with EBRD Representatives
Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gabidulla Ospankulov and Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" Madiyar Sultanbek held a meeting with Deputy Head of the Representative Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Kazakhstan Askar Namazbayev, during which they presented a pilot version of the National Digital Investment Platform (NDIP).
G. Ospankulov informed the Bank's representatives about the investment climate of the Republic of Kazakhstan and new investor support mechanisms, providing detailed information about the Green Corridor system aimed at speeding up and simplifying procedures for obtaining public services, the implementation of the prosecutor's filter function and the activities of the Investment Headquarters chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar.
At the same time, the Chairman of the Committee presented the NDIP's work to the representatives of the Bank and discussed the potential for its development. Thus, the Platform acts as a single window for the interaction of investors, public authorities, and the quasi-public sector. Its main goal is to automate the exchange of information between all participants in the investment process for the effective implementation of investment policy in Kazakhstan. To date, there are 755 projects in the NDIP pool, of which 58 are being implemented within the framework of the Green Corridor. The pilot version of the Platform was launched jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan with ICRIAP and JSC NIT.
Currently, the first stage of the NDIP development has been completed, implemented with the support of the Eurasian Development Bank. The second stage includes the integration of the system with state and non-state databases, as well as the improvement of modules for more effective monitoring of projects. A. Namazbayev expressed interest in this project and stressed the importance of the Platform's work in attracting investments and optimizing project processes in Kazakhstan.
