Brazil is Interested in Investment Cooperation with Kazakhstan
For the first time, the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo with a population of 20 million people held a business forum «Kazakhstan: trade and investment opportunities».
During the event, representatives of business circles of both countries discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation to increase trade turnover and investment activity. The forum was organized at the initiative of the Kazakhstani side.
More than 40 Brazilian companies representing the mining industry, industry, energy, and agriculture were present at the meeting. As Kazakhstan's Ambassador to South America, Bolat Nussupov noted: In the structure of the long-standing trade and economic partnership between the two countries, prospects for cooperation in the agro-industrial complex and the mining industry are emerging».
A significant contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation is made by the activities of the Kazakh-Brazilian Business Committee, co-chaired by, «Kazakhstan Industry and Export Center «QazIndustry» JSC and the National Industrial Confederation of Brazil (CNI).
Galymzhan Matayev, the foreign representative of JSC «NC «KAZAKH INVEST», spoke at the Forum with a presentation on investment opportunities in Kazakhstan. At B2B meetings held in the margins of the Forum, foreign businessmen asked the speaker questions about the prospects for investment partnerships. Particular interest was aroused by such sectors as agriculture and mining.
Galymzhan Matayev presented investment proposals for Brazilian companies and informed potential business partners about the measures taken by the Kazakhstani government to improve the investment climate.
Another participant from the Kazakhstani side - the General Director of «Qaz Trade» Center for Trade Policy Development» JSC Azamat Askaruly spoke about the trade and economic, transport, and logistics potential of Kazakhstan and presented the promising product groups of Kazakhstani products for export to the local market.
In turn, WEG's Director of Institutional Relations and Marketing Daniel Godinier, praised the investment climate in Kazakhstan and measures of state support for investors and shared the company's plans for development in Kazakhstan.
Thus, in the Brazilian concern «WEG», which operates in 100 countries and is one of the largest manufacturers of electric motors for broad purposes, transformers, and driving machinery, they consider the possibility of a step-by-step establishment in Kazakhstan of the full cycle of production of high-tech equipment in the field of energy and mining industry with the further provision of service support.
