400 Domestic Companies Took Part in the International Industrial Exhibition
Ruslan Ibraimov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “NC “KAZAKH INVEST” JSC, took part in the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2022, which took place from July 4 to 6 this year. in Yekaterinburg (RF) with the participation of about 500 exhibitors.
INNOPROM is an international industrial exhibition that has been held annually in Yekaterinburg since 2010. The exhibition is attended by Russian and foreign companies presenting their innovative developments and projects. The forum is held in the form of plenary sessions, round tables, business meetings and negotiations, discussions, presentation sessions, master classes, in which businessmen, experts and scientists from all over the world take part.
This year, Kazakhstan has become a partner country of the exhibition on the theme "Industrial transition: from challenges to new opportunities." The area of the Kazakhstan exposition was 1500 square meters, where the products and solutions of more than 400 domestic companies presented in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, mechanical engineering, construction industry and light industry.
Within the framework of the exhibition, panel sessions held with the participation of more than 600 Kazakh representatives, where they discussed issues of industrial development of the countries of the region, technological trends, global challenges and problems.
KAZAKH INVEST held meetings with Russian manufacturers of mechanical engineering; in particular, LLC Chelyabinsk Plant of Mobile Power Plants and Structures, where they discussed issues of mastering the production of products based on the existing production capacities of existing domestic enterprises.
Also, within the framework of the exhibition, negotiations were held with the Chairman of the Board of the Machine-Building Cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Mayorov. During the negotiations there was discussed the prospects for cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in Kazakhstan. In addition, agreements were reached on the formation of a business delegation of Tatarstan in the Republic of Kazakhstan to conduct targeted negotiations.
The parties noted that the trend in demand for pumping equipment, valves, compressors, as well as transformers, will continue. Since these goods are in the nature of annually demanded products and are included in the list of priority goods for development.
For reference: At the end of 2021, the engineering industry of Kazakhstan shows a positive trend, production volumes amounted to about $5.4 billion. At the same time, the volume of imports of engineering products occupies a significant share in the country's market and accounts for about 40% of total imports. Last year, engineering products were imported in the amount of $18 billion.
As part of the event, a meeting held with the leadership of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, where were discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of the Kazakh-Tatarstan working group on trade and economic cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint Kazakh-Tatarstan projects.
KAZAKH INVEST took part in signing commercial documents worth more than $5 million. Kazakhstan". In particular, memorandums of cooperation were signed between “Spetsmashinzhiniring” JSC and “Berys Machinery” LLP, as well as “Ultrasnab” LLC with “Ultrastab-Kazakhstan” LLP.

The second day of Innoprom-2022 in Yekaterinburg started with a business forum where the Minister of Economy of Kazakhstan and the Minister of Industry of Russia met. The heads of departments discussed cooperation between the two countries in the new economic realities.
“In Kazakhstan, active work is underway to organize the production of containers. We offer Russian transport companies to take part in the production of standard containers on the territory of Kazakhstan, thereby providing a more efficient and economical way to transport goods between our countries,” said Alibek Kuantirov, Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Ruslan Ibraimov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “NC “KAZAKH INVEST” JSC, noted that the Russian Federation is an important strategic and reliable partner, and recalled that a solid architecture of bilateral cooperation had been built over 30 years. Thus, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia in 2021 amounted to about $25 billion.
“Today, in Kazakhstan, with the support of the National Company KAZAKH INVEST, 11 investment projects worth about $3 billion are being implemented and developed with the participation of Russian investors. In general, 13 significant joint projects have been implemented in the country in cooperation with Russian partners. Another 20 major projects worth almost $4 billion are being implemented or are being developed in a number of key industries,” Ruslan Ibraimov summed up.
The Kazakh delegation also had a meeting with the Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast, Evgeny Kuivashev, where they discussed issues of investment cooperation in the production of high-tech components for various machine-building industries, materials for chemical products, petrochemical products, equipment for the food industry and others.
