Since 2020, there has been a steady increase in demand for glass mirrors and related products. Over this period, global demand has grown by 24.1%, reaching USD 7.7 billion. In 2024, the volume of global exports amounted to USD 9.0 billion, while total trade turnover reached USD 16.7 billion.

RAW MATERIAL BASE
Sources of raw materials for mirror production include:
- Float glass sheets – the primary material for mirror manufacturing. Supplied by both domestic and foreign producers. In Kazakhstan, available from LLP “KazGlass”, LLP “Global Steklo Trade”, and LLP “Atyrau Steklo”.
- Silver and aluminum for amalgam – used for applying the reflective layer to glass. Imported through LLP “MetalChem Supply”, LLP “KazNonFerrous”, and LLP “AluTech Asia”.
- Chemical reagents (activators, reducers, washing agents) – applied during the deposition and protection stage of the mirror layer. Suppliers include LLP “HimPlus Kazakhstan”, LLP “ReaGroup”, and LLP “SiliconChem”.
- Paints and protective coatings (polyurethane, epoxy) – used to secure the reflective layer and increase moisture resistance. Purchased from LLP “DecorCoat”, LLP “KazPolymer”, and LLP “LakInvest”.
- Foil, films, and PVC backing – for additional protection of the mirror’s reverse side and packaging. Suppliers include LLP “FlexPack KZ”, LLP “PlastInvest”, and LLP “KazPlenka”.
- Wooden and aluminum profiles – used for mirror frames and fittings, supplied by LLP “ProfilLine”, LLP “AlumKZ”, and LLP “DecorFrame Group”.
